Just wondering if this is a known issue with the $sound function and reading mp3s. When I use $sound I sometimes get the wrong length, bitrate, and even sample.

Does mIRC have an issue reading info from some mp3 files?

Hm.., i don't know about any issues with $sound. However, if you wanna try something else.. there's either a snippet here or on mirc.net using COM objects to read such files. Gives the exact stuff. Just search some. =)

Well I did go a search and only could find people talking about a Winamp Plugin but it also stats that Winamp much be running for the COM to work. I don't want that, I just want the file info. I've searched mircscripts.org also and can't really find anything. I'll keep searching....

But this should be looked into because all files from an album are encoded the same but I get different results for some files.

Awesome laugh That works perfectly! Hopefully it gets fixed in mIRC too. Thanx!
