Well, there are always going to be some bugs in every version of mIRC .. however, it's not really the main reason that people look forward to the new version of mIRC.
I think it's because we have all gotten used to getting looked-forward new features in each version. Every time, many features that users have asked for are included. Considering the nature of IRC (a lot of people are hardcore IRC addicts
), it's very much something to be looked forward to.
Naturally, there's also the element of simply being curious and wanting to stay informed about everything.
If you are planning on writing a major script and you know that a new version is coming out in a few days, you might want to hold up writing your script until the new version has been released. Who knows what new scripting tools and the like would have been added by then?
