Why are 'some' people so eager for a new release of mIRC? Is there something wrong with the current mIRC? Or it is something else I just don't have a clue of?

Well, there are always going to be some bugs in every version of mIRC .. however, it's not really the main reason that people look forward to the new version of mIRC.

I think it's because we have all gotten used to getting looked-forward new features in each version. Every time, many features that users have asked for are included. Considering the nature of IRC (a lot of people are hardcore IRC addicts wink), it's very much something to be looked forward to.

Naturally, there's also the element of simply being curious and wanting to stay informed about everything. smile

If you are planning on writing a major script and you know that a new version is coming out in a few days, you might want to hold up writing your script until the new version has been released. Who knows what new scripting tools and the like would have been added by then?

There is nothing wrong with it.
People just like new stuff, such as improvements and new features. That's human nature laugh

i know i can't wait for the new version....and i don't want to know when it is coming out. The anticipation builds and builds and then one day i get that email and boom, its like a birthday or christmas present surprise.
smile
Then i get to open it and see all the new goodies that have been added or bugs that have been fixed

I hate change!!! bah hum bug.
I'm forced to change by these never sleeping code blurting robots that keep mirc an ever evolving twister of scriptlets and scriptnots. I love it.
(I'm in a transitional not sure [censored] is going on period)
