Stupid question here, when I leave a chatroom, what I have left before I close mIRC entirely has a list of "ping pongs" on it. One right under the other. And if I don't maximize the chatroom windw, I have noticed them coming up two in five minutes. Can anyone tell me what does it mean when a "ping pong" shows up?

This is natural. Ping is when a server pings you to see if you're still connected. Pong is where you receive apong reply from the server after sending it a ping. Sodon't be alarmed, it's mIRC and the server taking it's course.

You can hide these byAlt+ O > IRC > Options > hide Ping? Pong! event.

A good way to understand them so you have the right way round is. Ping? the ? is basically asking you if your connected. And the ! shouting out loudly that you are.

OK, that makes sense. Thanks SladeKraven. I was totally confused; wondered if it was showing up every time someone joined mIRC then began wondering if it happened when someone checked who was in the roon with the /who # command.
