i've got the channel window separated from the mirc main window as well as dcc and pm's (dunno what they're really called, when you double click someone's nick...you know what i mean). what i wanna ask is if there is a way to make the pm window jump on my face when someone pms me, as now it just appears in the taskbar and i usually don't notice it untill a while after

Go to Options - IRC
De-select Iconify query window

This probably isn't what you mean,
View > Options > Display > Options > Windows... > Uncheck Query and other windows you don't want on desktop.
