when i join on a channel, where some op get opped and voiced at the same time before i joined.
then for some reason i deop him, voice status will not shown in nicklist.
such situation make me a little confused with it.

* [bot] sets mode: +mov bigDaddy bigDaddy
and when now i join
* Now talking in #channel
* Current channel mode: +mnt
* <me> sets mode: -o bigDaddy

bigDaddy still can talk in #channel, but in my nicklist he don't have +v, +h, or +o. just an ordinary user.

1. how come?
2. is this a mirc or server problem?

There's no way for mIRC to know that the user was voiced before he was opped before you joined since the server will only give you the "@" (op) preffix for the user in /NAMES when you join the channel and not both "+" and "@".

I've had this problem with UOP (CR feature) but not VOP. Perhaps the IRCd he connects to is not relaying the info back re: +v

This problem comes from the /NAMES reply of the IRC server, which only shows an @ next to a nickname even if they are both voiced and oped. However, with some testing i have done, mIRC would regonize if the server send @+Nick in the /NAMES reply. So, mabye some newer IRCD's should do it this way? ;]
