I'm using 6.14, registered, on windows xp professional.
mIRC is unable to connect to any IRC server, and I also have written scripts which rely heavily on the use of sockets/ports. I know the problem is not in the scripts, since they function fine for other users and on other machines I have. On one of my machines, mIRC is unable to open any kind of connection at all. IRC connections time out, and /socklist reports that any socket I open is "connecting" but it never connects. /sockwrite commands in the on sockopen event retun "/sockwrite: socket not connected." What is wrong, and how do I fix this?
