Whenever anyone sends me a dcc, I receive a notice in the status window that they are attempting to send, but a DCC Get dialog box never pops up, and I am unable to accept the dcc. Any ideas/solutions on this issue?
I would start by checking your mIRC settings for DCC. Assuming mIRC 6.16
1. From the mIRC toolbar click the options button (2nd from left, next to the connect button) 2. Highlight DCC in the option tree on the left. 3. Verify you have the radio button for 'Show Get Dialog' checked in the 'On Send Request' box.
from the help file: /sreq [+m|-m] [ask | auto | ignore] This is the command line equivalent of setting the DCC Send request radio buttons in the dcc options dialog (see /creq above). The +m|-m switch turns the minimize setting on|off.
