How about priority nick completer tabbing as an option in mIRC where it will put the status of the users before the alphabet.
@'s come first
%'s come second
+ come third

A sortable priority option would be a good idea too, as well as nick complete preferred users?

MOre like:

what is ! and why dont any major networks have it?

! (+a) is channel admin/protected user (different names and priviledges for the same prefix in different ircd's)

That's a pretty pointless statement. That mode doesn't even exist on most networks, modes are completely reliant on a particular server/network so there's no point making 'corrections' for things that aren't incorrect.

Anyway, in regards to the original post, is there a benefit from this? I mean it's not like people are more likely to want to message an op than a voice, or a voice than a regular user is it?

As I find this completely pointless wouldnt it be better to just get the priority from 005?

I can't be the only person that read that as gender enhancement, can I? Kind of a bizzare feature request for an IRC client

^^ Supports all RFC compliant ircd's and if they do it right Itll give you the order of power also
