When I first got MIRC i was using Windows 98 and it worked fine. Well then I updated my operating system to windows XP. Now I can't connect to MIRC on any server. i downloaded the XP version of it. Everytime I try to connect to MIRC it says " Connecting to 4-irc.com (6667)
-
* Unable to connect to server (Invalid argument)"
What's Wrong?

Have a look and see if the inbuilt XP firewall is restricting you from accessing mIRC
START > Control Panel > go to Network connections window, right click on the one you use > Properties > Advanced, uncheck the box that says Protect should switch it off to test
or Alternatively
web page
tells you how to Configure it for use with mIRC

You may also like to see this thread and follow a couple of the links. Using the Search feature may help, but there haven't been that many posts on this - expand to 'All Forums' and 'All Posts' for best results.
