The most secure you can be on IRC is via a DCC chat. No one can just 'read' your query's and the text you send/receive w/out going through a LOT of trouble or getting you to load a script that does it.
/remote off
^^ turns off your script section. alt + r, and look through that entire section for any 'lines' that you, yourself didn't write or know what they do.
