And this time is no exception, I feel like $$ is using a different routine to get the value of $identifier and with $chan being context dependant, it looks like $$ isn't having access to that context, which feels like it could be fixed.
We're very curious about $~, can you tell us what's the purpose of $~ internally? In which way is it changing the parsing of parameters, is it changing the parsing of parameter of the identifier?
