By design, actions that you take do not trigger events. There is some logic here (avoiding infinite loops), but it might be worth revisiting. Changing this behavior would probably break a handful of scripts, but theoretically mIRC could introduce new events OR a new event prefix to enable triggering on manual actions, kind of like the "ON me" prefix.
