I was wondering if you could make the disconnect icon in the tool bar trigger on quit? same with when you close a status window?

By design, actions that you take do not trigger events. There is some logic here (avoiding infinite loops), but it might be worth revisiting. Changing this behavior would probably break a handful of scripts, but theoretically mIRC could introduce new events OR a new event prefix to enable triggering on manual actions, kind of like the "ON me" prefix.
