I don't need an alarm for an event I'm already at (just give me an option to turn it off), and the button raise when mouse-over strikes me as very odd behavior, even if it's supposed to be consistent with the rest of the UI.
It's part of my job so I pay close attention to IRC. Also I would argue I have a good memory. :P I scroll up to where I last left off if I've been away from a longer conversation and read up on it.
Thanks for the discussion, by the way, I've had the opportunity to speak my mind now and feel satisfied.
I'm still using 6.34 and trying to adapt. However it still irritates me and we'll see if I'm strong enough to actually do it or not.
Will be keeping an eye out for upcoming releases of mIRC.
