ParaBrat Hoopy frood P Joined: Dec 2002 Posts: 3,015 BratLand	Sounds like something is blocking the port needed for identd, which is port 113 re installing: turn Mcaffee OFF, disable it and anything else running in the background before you try the install. (you may want to get a clean download of mIRC just in case there was a prob with the download) note: you said you deleted mIRC, did you just delete or did you do an uninstall thru windows?
