i'm not exactly sure if i'm following what you mean.. and not sure what you mean by "REAL TIME"... but, you have mentioned about multimedia timers and such(which states in the help file that they use system resources heavily)... i was just curious if you have tried something simple as /timer -mc ? the -c switch repeats the timer untill it catches up the you pc time "REAL TIME" if thats real enough for ya.. hehe j/k.
what your talking about, i must admit is beyond me but, i just thought i'd give a mention... it probaly doesn't even apply to what your doing..
oh well, just my 2 cents worth.. take how ya like or don't like, your choice.
