my friend is trying to connect but cant reason:

-ip- [ Blocked by Zone Labs Security ]

* Identd request from ip-
* Disconnected

if u no how to make this work by disabling something on his security settings let me no! plz and thnk u

I have ZoneAlarm too, he will have to shutdown zonealarm until he connects, then, he can start zonealarm back up.

Edit the settings for "mirc" in your firewall, and make it trusted, i use ZoneAlarm, never had any problem with connect to a irc server.

open zonealarm and click IM security select settings from the top and click advanced. If the block irc is checked then uncheck it and that should fix it.

I cant find IM securty in Zone Alarm free , where is this?

1) Use something else.
2) I've heard you can disable it, connect, then enable it and it will work (as long as you don't need to automatically reconnect later from pinging out or something).

u can get around this by going to Firewall > Main > Advanced and unchecking "fliter IP traffic over 1394" in the zonealarm settings
