How do I redirect the output of /dns to a %str?

Thanks, I saw that first, but now I understand how it works.

While /dns 1.2.3.4 works, /dns nickname doesn't work and returns * Dns unable to resolve nickname. Why is it doing this if it gets the ip from /userhost.

The server I use is modified and the /userhost has a * instead of the IP.

Then you are out of luck with this topic, as /userhost has to return a valid entry fot the /dns to work, and an entry with a wildcard in it isn't valid for this purpose.

Yes, as far as I'm concerned, this topic is closed. The only reason I posted the alove was to say why /dns name didn't work.
