OP TaLamia Self-satisified door T Joined: Dec 2002 Posts: 3 SA	Since yesterday I have tried to connect servers on IRC only to keep getting this msg: * Connect retry #1 coins.dal.net (6666) - * Unable to connect (Connection timed out) - My connection has worked fine for months before, all til yesterday. Even as I type this I am still trying to connect as I have always done, and I'm still getting that msg. I've tried connecting to every other server I don't usually use and the same msg still. Are the IRC servers down or too busy or something because of the "festive season"?

However, after defragging my hard drives and rebooting usually fixes it Is port 6666 the only port you have tried? The DALnet servers are working fine (I have 2 bots online on different servers) ~ @#FunFactory / @#WorldChat ~ on DALnet ~

OP TaLamia Self-satisified door T Joined: Dec 2002 Posts: 3 SA	Well my default port is the recommended 6667, but when I connect and they fail, they keep retrying and each time the port number may keep changing between 6667 and 7001 or there abouts. I don't think it's my computer's problem, I'll try defragging to see if that helps but I doubt it will, it all only started happening yesterday, never before.
