Forums mIRC Help mirc problems

hi...i'm having some problems with mirc. I downloaded a newer version to upgrade. I've already registered and paid the one time fee, but maybe after upgrading, it's asking me to register again. I'm not having problems connecting, but I'm having problems staying connected. And the biggest problem is once I'm logged on and I try to join a channel or whois a person, it doesn't do anything. I can't right click on any nick and do anything. It seems to be ignoring my commands. It's strange, because I've never had this problem before and I've been chatting on mIRC for MANY years. When I try to join a channel, it won't let me. When I try to inquire any command, it does nothing. And it disconnects out of the blue, for no apparent reason. Please help! jo_

Do you have any scripts loaded?

I don't know. I didn't do anything different. It just stopped working like it used to. I appear to be logged on, but I don't see anyone's messages, and I can't chat or join a channel. It's so frustrating. Thanks for your reply. Can you suggest a solution?

when ever i try to right click at any nick in the nicks list some sound comes and nothing popouts how to over come this?

You need to load popups.ini as discussed in various places on the forum. Alt-R > Popups. Then File > Load and look for popups.ini. It is probably in your install folder or the default folder in your install folder. Repeat the load for each item in the View menu.

And please make your own topic when you have a new issue instead of replying to someone else's topic. It saves confusion when someone is looking for answers.
