Forums mIRC Help Freezing during install

I am tryng to install the latest version of MIRC. I get to the part where the URLS.INI file tries to decompress, and it hangs there. Get a PROGRAM NOT RESPONDING message, and that's as far ar it goes. Does anyong have ANY suggestions?

Run a full scan with your anti-virus, and re-download mIRC from mIRC Download

If your anti-virus comes back clean, and you still have problems, try booting into safe mode and install from there. That way you won't have to worry about other programs tying up your system during the installation process.

Paradoxically, switching off your antivirus before installing it is more likely to make installation work.
