Forums mIRC Help Newbie on MIRC..need help...thanks!

So I get the basics of this MIRC thing....but, now I have a question about fservers? I don't really know how to explain this, but I guess some people have their own servers or something...you can use a trigger to access the server...here's an example:
Triggers:«/ctcp (username) bigboy
after i put the trigger in a separate window opens and
I get this message:
Acknowledging chat request...
DCC Chat connection established
By Accepting this File Server Session you agree to any terms set by this servers administrator.
so then I'm in there and now I'm stuck
I don't know how to access to see what files there are and I don't know how to get the files. Can someone please help me? Thank you in advance!

alrighty... well.. most fileservers are the same and some can be different.

back in the day when i used to access fileservers on mirc it acted like DOS. type: dir to see whats there and then find the file u want and type: get filename

so.. to save anyone the trouble.. i will tell you that true mirc comes with file server capabilities. but its ment for simple stuff like pictures (not porn) and other LEGAL stuff. mirc was never intended for the distribution of illegal files.

but do as u wish when u wish. that being said

Recieveing files from people you dont know makes you suseptible to viruses

It would probably be easiest to ask the servers administrator (my, thats an important title!), although his/her/its reply will probably be along the lines of:

0mG L0L 0dAY 0dAY! n00b!!!!11!11!1! HiHiHi!
