Forums mIRC Help DCC session

I need some help: how do u do to not have your DCC session closed? each time i go on a server it closes

Please paste the exact error message that you're receiving, that way we can be more certain what is going on. You may also like to include what connection to the Internet you're using, your Operating System, the network you're using and your mIRC version.

I'll describe all my steps from the beginning so I'll be sure you know what's going on (I'm a beginner so it may seems obvious to you but sure is weird stuff for me):
I connect on a server
I enter a channel
I type "!list"
I type the text after "trigger"
after that a new window pops up
I type "dir" to see the list of folders
I have barely the time to see what's there and type "get namefile" before it says "Closing Idle connection in 30 seconds

DCC session closed"

I've got WinXP, broadband internet (use my university's network) and mIRC v1.6

that's an automated message and disconnect from the person you're connecting to. nothing you can do about it except log it and re-connect after you've read through it
