I'm trying to connect to irc.link-net.org ??

I always get the error "You are not authorised to use this server"

I tried to install openssl, reconfigure almost everything, ...

I need help to understand what I need to do to connect to this server.

Any help?? I'm trying to make it work since weeks:(

Thanks

Prefix the port with a + for ssl, /s irc.link-net.org +7000

If this doesn't work, type //echo $sslready and then reply here with the result.

Are you on 7.x and your friends are using codepages rather than a utf-8 encoding? That would explain the garbage characters. Tell them to use a modern encoding (utf-8).

There are a few third party scripts. The one I know of is mircryption, which you can google for. You can also google "blowfish mirc".
