I recently logged onto a server with a registered nick to which I previously had a registered nick.
My questions are : Why am I still seen as the previously registered nick? How does someone identify me as an unlogged in user? How do I connect to this server totally anonymously?
i.e. My old registered nick = User1 My new registered nick = User2
I log in as User2 Other users still recognize me as User1
some more information would help.. .. NETwork, type of irc server they run, and mask you connnect with (is it same as old one) with this information, maybe someone here can determine your issue.
