I realise, but it could be taken the wrong way, especially if someone is a 'newbie'.

Just to make it clear (this isn't aimed at you Alan), nobody except Khaled is aware of when the next mIRC version will be available. We just need to wait in anticipation for the kewl new stuff the next mIRC will bring

I'm new on here,and was wondering, does mirc shut you out of a channel that you've been using for ages,,,if you don't eventually register????

no

mirc has NOTHING to do with CHANNEL management. Chanel management is on the IRC SERVER. mIRC is simply the PROGRAM (also called CLIENT) you use to connect to the IRC SERVER.
