mIRC 6.16 : i wanted to change the default location where *.wav, *.mp3 files are downloaded. so, ideleted the (*.wav,*.mp3) entry from the options menu. i changed the value of the (default) location, so tht the .mp3s would go there. it worked. but, the next time i start mIRC, there is again an entry (*.wav,*.mp3) with the value (C:\program files\mirc\......)

did you check mirc.ini properties to be sure it didnt get set to read only?

yes, that was the first thing that came to mind .. but it wasn't readonly.
am i the only one having this problem ?

This is actually a known issue. Those entries are always recreated when mirc starts. I wish we COULD get rid of them and not have them come back but I just point them where I want stuff to go and am done with it. Before I get asked, NO the file is NOT read only I just checked it to make sure
