Forums Connection Issues connecting to IRCnet from Chile

Dear All,
I'm in chile for business. I would like to chat with some friends in Italy, who connect to IRCnet servers there. Unfortunately, I have not found a useful IRCNet server here, that is using those I have found I do not "see" my friends

Any suggestions?

As long as you are all connected to a server on the same network, you should be able to "see" each other if they are online at the same time you are. The links on this web page may help you find a server. Once you are online, then you can /whois yourfriendsnickhere to see if they are online.
