You can find the last 16-bit version of mIRC, 5.91, at www.mirc.com/get.html. Lots of old mIRCs can be found at www.mirc.net/mirc.php and there may well be various other archives on the web. You might try searching Google, although the aforementioned archive has nearly every version you would want (or could even run).

Note, I do not recommend using an old version of mIRC. Newer versions contain bug fixes, new features and so forth. If you use an older version of mIRC, we cannot promise you that we can support you if you have an issue, and many #mIRC channels on IRC will not help you either. You may also encounter scripting errors with the latest scripts and various other bugs.

Regards,

I know a page, www.oldversion.com, that has (as the name suggests smile) some old version from known programs. They have up to mIRC 2.1

However, I downloaded v5.9 once to help a person - I couldnt tell where all the buttons were in his version without seeing it - so I got it and installed. Later on that day, during a virus scan, I found one match inside the mIRC 5.9 folder. I can't recall now the name of the virus, but just keep that in mind and scan the file as soon as you download it. I don't know if it is the page or if the file was already contaminated when the webmaster uploaded it.

Zyzzyx.

I have found that certain antiviruses detect the mIRC 5.9 (or was it 5.91?) .exe file as a trojan, it could well have been a false alert.
