I'm looking for a offline proxy that will run in the background on my computer and link me to java based chat rooms but allow me to use a mirc interface. I know this is possible I just don't know where to get such a proxy.
There is a good reason why many chat rooms are Java-only. it is to keep users of chat programmes out. Why don't you join one of millions of other channels that allow chat programmes... Or use Java...
