well. today i noticed. that when i go to www.mircx.com a popular mirc scripts archive. i get redirected to www.mirc.com the official mirc website. is there something i am missing here? did mircx close down and sell to khaled? any information greatly appreciated

Well they almost certainly haven't sold anything to Khaled. More likely they've just closed down and set the domain to redirect to mirc.com until it expires. I seem to remember reading somewhere that the site has been down for long periods over the last year or so, perhaps it's finally gone down for good?
Spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, and stupid comments are intentional.

They've been under DDoS last year I think, and they closed down the chat applet. Now, it wouldn't even surprise me if it was the whole site that's being closed.

i simply dont understand...
why "hackers" (kids) DoS sites that contain scripts and forums that help other people...
i mean if itz something against mirc/khaled itz enough that there are keygens and cracks made
anyone has any better idea why?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but last time I checked, itz is spelled it's. It doesn't make you look "cool" or "leet" to purposely mispell words. It makes you look stupid and immature.

Did it not occur to you that the z in "itz" could have been a typo? Regardless, we are here to help people, not critique their grammer/spelling/phrasing/writing style, etc or to embarass them. Let's drop it and move along please.

Because they can. Why do teenagers think they can hold their drink down? Why do they take up smoking? Why do they think that going from L plates to P plates makes them invincible? Because they can. We live in an era where boredom is often only replaced by entertainment that is either paid for or supplied by others. Self-made entertainment often involves destruction or obstruction of some sort.

Help them? mIRCx content was more often corrupt in some way or other and this certainly isn't helpful. The site was more or less open to abuse by people wanting to shift IRC trojans or other infectious files and I guess some people took offence to it and returned the favour. A while back they closed down not only their webchat but also their IRC server which the webchat connected to. If they have redirected their URL then chances are they won't be back. Given the nature of some of the downloads they hosted/linked to, I am not so sure it's a bad thing.

Hi DekuHaze, L Plates are for Learner drivers and P Plates are for those drivers who have just recently passed their tests to warn other drivers "Look out i passed my test, but i may still break sharp"  ShadowDemon
