try this m8... type in mIRC:

/server yggdrasil.freedomirc.net:6667

and if that doesn't work, try:

/server 132.177.178.17

NB: By the looks of things this network has only 1 server to connect to so you might have initial connection problems on occasion. Great name though... Yggdrasil, the great ash grin

Go into mIRC options (ALT + o) and put a tick in the 'skip MOTD on connect' then click ok and try connecting again.

I'm not sure exactly what ur problem is regarding ur 'unable to resolve server' error.

Hope this works for you smile

Added note:

The 'MOTD File is missing' error is not an mIRC error, it means the server has not got an MOTD file - MOTD means Message Of The Day and by default it is displayed when you connect to the IRC server.

You may want to inform the server administrator of this, try /admin server.* (So if the server name is 'yggdrasil.freedomirc.net' you might try /admin yggdrasil.*) and find the contact email.

Regards,

Mentality/Chris
