I am running a Celleron 1 gig, 256 meg with a 120 gig drive, and Window XP Home, and in mIRC 6.15, I try to paste from Clipboard, it freezes mIRC and when I go to the Close X at the top left, the End Program dialog pops up with "Program not responding". I click on "end now", it closes. It does the SAME with a txt player. mIRC 6.14 didn't do this!

Try this again after you turned the remote off (/remote off)

disabling remote is NOT an answer as I use a LOT of popups, and some don't work because of this bug.
If you want to discuss this live with me, I am on Dalnet and in the rooms, #christian and #ChristianityExplained most days on Australian Eastern Standard Time. UTC(GMT) +10

The point was to try if it works correctly with /!remote off. If it does work correctly, it's a problem with one of your scripts and you'll have to find out which one and why. Maybe load each script file one at a time and check if it happens each time to narrow the script problem down.
If it still gives problems with all your scripts disabled/unloaded, then it can be a mIRC bug.

OK! I tried /remote off and it STILL hung up mIRC. By the way, I installed 6.16 and it didn't hang up, so the point is moot now anyway, unless you want to investigate this BUG. Also I've been a member for nearly 18 months now and isn't it time to remove me from "newbie" status to something else. Also, when I install new versions, I install into c:\ mircxxx folders, so that I can keep track of them. That's HOW I test mIRC. I copy mirc.exe and mirc.hlp to the working folder.

Glad your issue has been sorted in the latest version of mIRC. Provided the problem doesn't persist I wouldn't think the bug needs to be investigated, at least not by Khaled. The 'newbie' status on the forums has nothing to do with the length of time you've been here, it's related to the number of posts you have. A full list of titles and their respective post numbers that are needed can be found here. Regards,
Mentality/Chris
