Could you be a little more specific? Since you're obviously the only one experiencing this problem, a few more information could be useful to track down the error in your system/configuration.

Some people have an issue when the installer gets to the urls.ini file. This is installed at the end. mIRC can run perfectly well without it - read this thread for further information.

You might try closing all other programs, including those that are in the tray, before installing mIRC, as other programs (particularly sensitive antiviruses/trojan scanners with auto-protect features on) may interfere with installation.

I personally have had no issues with the installer.

Edit: Ta da grin

As the thread I linked to explains:

"at the point where the urls.ini file is extracted the mirc.exe has been succesfully extracted already and will be found in your mIRC directory. The urls.ini file is not important for mIRC to work."

All you need to do is set up some icons as that is the only thing that is done after the urls.ini file is installed, as that thread also explains.

Simply go to the directory that you installed mIRC to - it should be there smile

This is usually due to running anti-virus software which is old and is incorrectly thinking that urls.ini has a trojan or virus. If you update your anti-virus software, or temporarily disable it, you should be able to install mIRC without a problem.
