I've never used mIRC and really don't know anything about it. Is it like Kazaa or Soulseek? If it is than is it better than Soulseek? I really like being able to dl whole albums.

mIRC isn't a P2P filesharing program. Most people on this forum doesn't condone it because it was created for Chatting. Although mIRC can support the ability to download it isn't meant for large downloads. So in short mIRC is great for chatting.

Oh ok. I just saw on some message board where a kid said they dled a song off of mIRC. I had never heard of it so I looked it up.

You should also make note that when you download large files using mIRC, you are making yourself more likely to receive a virus or trojan horse. Now with that being said, If you want to use mIRC to chat, then here at these forums people can help you with any other questions you may have about mIRC. It is a great chat client and I think many would agree, its sad to see more people everyday are using it to download files with it than to use it to chat.

Anyways, I hope you understand my position on the subject. I cannot speak for everyone but I'm sure there are many who would agree.

I don't even think mIRC is any good for file sharing. It's great for chatting though, as i'm sure we all agree.
