Hi!

Is there a BNC for windows that has about the same features as psybnc? The most important feature is that you should be able to let the bnc run so it can keep your irc-connection alive even though you're not online yourself.
There is a unsupported windows-version of psybnc, but I never managed to figure out how to make that work.

And there is winbnc, but that doesn't keep your connection alive.

The program I found here works fine on Win98, but I'm not sure how to kill it without the aid of Alt+Ctrl+Del.

Exterus: You ARE aware that it will have to be run on a computer that IS online all the time, aren't you?

From my first post:
"There is a unsupported windows-version of psybnc, but I never managed to figure out how to make that work."

So, for future reference, I know there is a port of psybnc for windows, but I was wondering if there's any more.
Seems strange that there is only one old bnc-program written for windows, doesn't it?

mahybe just cos its windows ? if you want a stabile bnc, then you should get it on a *nix computer.. and when i searched the net, then i found many bouncers for windows, maybe not working as psybnc but anyway. and if you would like the windows version of psybnc, then you should try configure it, i did and wasnt that much job, just read the documents included and i belive u can do it..

I suggest that you take a psybnc account. there are a lot of sites that sells cheap psybncs. no unix needed and your account gets activated instantly. for example try a google search : psybnc automatic instant activation .

i hope it helps

Moderator note: You said a Google search
