Bug: i have in statut window


Because my network is "voila\wanadoo" and Windows can't create file with "\" in. If you put \ / ? : * " < > in the network name, you can't log.

I didn't even know server addresses could have those characters in it! What is the address of the server? (I tried irc.voila\wanadoo.org/com/etc).

I know when mIRC logs channels/queries it replaces the character with an underscore.

i have never say the server address use / or \ chars, but in the connection dialog, you can tell the server with a private name return by $network, and this same name is used in the path of the logfile (with default setup).

i have choose voila/wanadoo because the server "voila" irc.voila.fr is linked to "wanadoo" irc.wanadoo.fr (and other address)

My problem is the same of sais : Sais have find a problem with the logfilename (: between server and proxy) and me with / in networkname.

In my view the network needs to change their naming convention.

The name of the network isn't voila/wanadoo, it's me : i have call this network voila/wanadoo in options>connect>servers>IRC network. mIRC should replace invalid chars by "_" (without quotes) by example.
In options>irc>logging i have check "include network [in the filename/path]"

Why don't you change the / to a - or _?
