Everytime I'm trying to get a file from someone, I cann get in the DCC chat, but when I'm trying to receive the file it says in the "get-Window" : Accepting Send unable to Connect Status Window: DCC Get of<filename> from <nick> incomplete (unable to connect) I Am behind a Proxy but I think I have set everything right. (Proxy for both, server and DCC; Disabled Ignore; Auto-Accept Get...) I don't know waht else to do! Any Ideas? Thanks you very much!!

Mentality Hoopy frood M Joined: Jun 2003 Posts: 5,024 London, England	In most cases of DCC receiving problems it is the sender's end that is causing the issue (particularly likely if it says "Unable to connect"). Try getting a file from 2-3 other friends and see if all of them fail. The fact that you can connect to them (hence why you can successfully DCC chat) and yet they cannot connect to you (hence why they cannot DCC send) I would say this is the most likely reason. You might like to try the suggestions on this page and use the Forum Search feature using the search term "receive" or "DCC" and see if other threads can help you. G'luck! Regards, Mentality/Chris

madjo Bowl of petunias M Joined: Apr 2004 Posts: 2 The Netherlands	I have recently upgraded my mirc to 6.14 and since then I'm unable to receive dcc's but I am able to send. I have tried it with many friends, and none of them were able to send to me, but they were able to send to other people, so I'd rather think it is a problem on my machine ;-) Where should I have a look to solve this. Receiving dcc's has worked before, and I have no filetype ignored...

DaveC Hoopy frood D Joined: Sep 2003 Posts: 4,230	How long has the original window been sitting up before you clicked ACCEPT ? becuase if its more than like 60 sdeconds the sender well have dumped your send as someone who didnt respond (might be a bit more or less than 60 actually)
