1. Make sure you are using the default Fixedsys font.

2. Then:

//echo -a $str($chr(7),100)

It will produce a line of dots. Highlight that line with your mouse, So as to copy the text. You should see the distortion.

This also happens with other characters in the FixedSys font.
I don't know if it happens for other Fonts.

Your command produces a series of blocks, if that's what you meant (if they are actually dots there something's definitely screwed up :tongue:), which behave normally when highlighted.

Ok im an idiot. I must of installed a modified FixedSys at some point. I do remember somebody posting a link on these forums to a modified fixedsys which contained the Euro symbol. Perhaps that's what I installed.
