6.14 talks about copying "...libeay32.dll and ssleay32.dll of OpenSSL 0.9.7c, and possibly msvcr70d.dll...".

On the OpenSSL site I can only find "libeay32.dll & libssl32.dll" . So is ssleay32.dll and libssl32.dll the same thing, and it's just a typo, or am I still missing a file?

they are the same.
they are not misspelled.

generally, nothing on openssl.org is precompiled, they like to release source only...

if you have a compiler (borland, mingw, msvc 6, 7, all of which are free), you can compile them yourself.....

otherwise you're probably fine using the files you have or even searching on google if you really wanna be SURE they're right...

peace
