After version 5.82 why was the following GREAT option removed from MIRC which made it a joy to use?

file/options/display/options/ "highlight nickname in messages"

Would be great if that option ever returned as i dont like using it till it does

Hi Incognito... try File -> Options -> IRC -> Highlight. You can use wildcards like *foobar* and have it match on message and/or nickname.

So how do i make everyones nick by default a different colour to their text then?

Or do you mean i have to insert a list of their nicknames in the part you mentioned and then their nicks will be a diff colour... also what about them all changing their nicknames on a daily basis or if i visit channels with people i dont know... how does the nickname in channel colour work then?

type /abook ...... it opens ur address book and that has a nicks list u can add nicks to it and select colors ...... in message and in list ...... why script something thats available inside of mirc? :tongue:
