Hello,

I have a problem with mIRC 6.14. I live in Denmark, and here we usually make @ by using the left CTRL + the left ALT and then clicking 2.

In mIRC 6.14 this is no longer possible, because CTRL + ALT + 2 joins channel nr. 2. (ALT + 2 does the same.) in mIRC 6.12 it didn't join channel 2, if you had ctrl pressed in, now it does? How come?

It is really annoying, and I want to be able to make the signs from 1 - 8 using the left ALT. Please help me, how do I fix this?

I now I'm not the only one with the problem.

to get the @ symbol to come up hold alt and type in 64...you must type this using the NUMBER PAD numbers not the ones above the letters

this works on my (canadian) keyboard i hope it will on yours

to get other symbols you need to find out the ascii number for them and then hold alt and type the number

these numbers can be found in your CHARACTER MAP which on my computer is in system tools

hope it helps

Dear SkookS,

Thanks, it works on mine aswell.

But not quite what I wanted. I wanted to be able to use the left side of CTRL + ALT and then have @ on 2. It's standard on danish keyboards. smile

It was possible in all former versions, just not in 6.14.

Thanks for your help though. Still appreciated.
