Basically, you have been banned from that server or network.
However, if you have not been harassing operators, disregarding network policies etc etc, then the ban (often called an AKill or G-line) might not be aimed at you. They can often be aimed at someone else but affect you because of your IP range or ISP.
Example:
Your IP is
213.456.765.987
This person keeps ban evading, harassing people etc, and their IP is
213.456.876.254 - See how the last numbers are different?
When this person reconnects, their IP changes AGAIN. This is how they evade bans and ignores etc etc. Now their IP is
213.456.657.432 - Again, the first part is the same, and the last part has changed.
Finally, the "OperTeam" have had enough and they have now banned
213.456.* from the server or network. This means ANYONE who's IP begins with
213.456 will now be banned, all because of one person.
The same goes for ISP domains. If
*.aol.com is banned from the server/network, ANYONE using the AOL ISP will then be banned, possibly due to just one person constantly being abusive. Often networks will try to contact the ISP to report the user, but often they don't care and do nothing, which leads to entire domains being banned.
Apart from waiting for a reply, or re-emailing the email given, there is little you can do except wait. Us helpers here have absolutely no power or authority to override network/channel bans, or anything else specific to a network. We're just IRC users like yourself, and whilst some here may have IRC Operator status on some networks, they also must follow rules, and a request on the mIRC message board will not come of anything.
