Forums mIRC Help Software won't let me log on.

I'm having problems connecting to any IRC server from a computer. I think this may have something to do with it being part of a network, help?

"Won't let me log on" and "problems connecting" arent very specific, please post the error you are getting. More information about your network may also be useful depending on the problem.

Sorry about the vaguness, I was low on time. Anyway, I get an error about the software forcing a disconnect. I can't paste it because I'm not on that comp, but thats the basic jist. I'm sure there have been other posts on this or similar problems, but I really need help. I installed mIRC on a huge network that is behind a few semi large firewalls, and I don't have full admin priveleges. Perhaps theres a way to get around this? Please help.
