Forums Bug Reports Server port starts over.

Hello!

I noticed that when I provide a port number larger than 65535 to connect to, its starts over and It tries to connect to (x - 65535) where x is the port number I provided, my guess is that the port number is declared as an "short int" , altough im not good at programming. Well perhaps this is nothing bother fixing?

I run version 6.12 of mIRC.

if my memory servs me, mirc is connecting thru ports of 4 digits xxxx not 5 digits xxxxx.... why do you connect on such high ports then if default are between 6666 and 7777 ?

I was trying to connect to a bouncer that I set up on that port number, dont know why really, changed the listening port so that problem is out the way.

Just incase, do you realise the highest port is 65535? The behaviour is probably intentional, and has been mentioned before recently.

It's not a bug, just a subtraction using the highest port 65535.
