In additon, that's up there with the "direct advertising" use thing net.exe service on windows. I shouldn't have to stop a service that I may depend on as a LAN, because some idiot wants to advertise "enlarge this", "Get drugs cheap", "gamble online", etc. I have a server that i keep in the next room over, that I have set to use net send to msg me if a problem occurs. Other networks use this service as a security measure, i.e. "net send /domain:Administrators There is a user attacking the server". Why should a network have to comprimise a service that is indeed helpful, just to stop some lamer with a ip scan and an advertisement?
