Is it possible to have a sound played each time a query window is opened and have different sounds played on text send and receive? Please can you give me a example of the code needed for this.

I think it's something else like this

on ^1:OPEN:?: { play $mircdir $+ Sounds\query.wav }

Meaning you would have the query.wav file in your mirc dir and in a dir called Sounds

I'm sure that is a guideline for you.

You can also do it from mIRC options > Sounds > Enable Sounds > On Event Play Sound > Select query\chat and pick your sound.
