Forums mIRC Help Help I cant connect to any servers

I try server after server and it wont connect me: heres an example:
* Connect retry #77 jade.va.us.dal.net (7000)
-
* Unable to connect to server (Connection refused)
it goes through all diff servs and I cant seem to get on one
Whats the problem? it tries 6667 ports and other stuff too.
If anyone knows the answers or a list of possiblities please help me. Maybe im banned or something i dont know but I want to get on mIRC to chat with friends.

go Here and try connecting to one of the servers/ports listed

None of them worked for me
* Connect retry #1 ced.se.eu.dal.net (7000)

but for the first time i got a different message for one of them
:
* Connect retry #1 slimey-r.uk.eu.dal.net (6667)
-
* Unable to resolve server
-------------
that was a new one, unable to resolve.
I have no clue why i cannot connect to any servers.

this one works here

it seems more of a DNS problem seeing the "can not resolve" error. try ping'ing the server in dos? (start > run > command > ping irc.server.com )

then connect to the IP that gives you and see if that works...

I have the same problem as above. It's just happened today. What else could I try?

General reply:
Lots of ppl have been having recent problems connecting to DALnet, all we can suggest is checking their website for current server list (http://www.dal.net/servers/index.php3)and trying various servers and server ports. You can also try connecting to the ip rather than the domain. To be sure the problem is with one network and not you, its a good idea to try connecting to a different network. Occasionally networks/servers have difficulties due to a variety of reasons, we just have to be patient while they are resolved.
