I was running a version of mirc that had been upgraded several times, and I always used old settings. Recently the computer crashed and won't access the internet or basically do anything useful, rather than fix it I just started using my other computer until my semester at college is over and I have time to fix it. Anyway, the timestamps for everything on my old computer were [hh:mm:ss tt] or [02:05:35 am] for example. All of my messages, joins, parts, modes changes, etc were in this format.
On my new computer I've installed 6.12 (and the newest invision script because I like the looks of it), and I can only find how to change the timestamp for messages. All of the joins, parts, mode changes etc have the default [2:05am] setting. How can I change it so everything has a uniform timestamp format?

mIRC Options -> IRC -> Messages. The timestamp options here should timestamp all the messages you listed. If that doesn't work then it is probably a script at fault. Look in the scripts options, if you can't find anything type /!remote off and see if it still happens, if it doesn't then contact the author(s) of your script(s).

Note that nothing we say here about changing settings in your mIRC is guaranteed to work when you use a script...

Thanks Collective for being very helpful, I'll try that out (on a different computer now, will have to try later).
Thanks LocutusofBorg for not being any help at all. I mentioned I was using a script just in case that WAS the problem. If I ruled it out do you think I would have mentioned it? Besides, changing the timestamp in mIRC worked for messages but nothing else, I thought was odd behavior. If it hadn't worked at all I would have messed with the script right away. Anyway, thanks again for not saying anything constructive.
However, Alyson Hannigan is hot!

Stop whining will you. Fact is that many full scripts mess with mIRC defaults, and override settings. This time you just got lucky your script didn't.

Stop being a <deleted by moderator> will you? Fact is people come here for help, not cynicism. Lucky for me I know when somebody's trying to look cool by defaming other people.

Did LocutusOfBorg change his first post, or are you actually complaining about what I can see there now? If so I think you would be the one with issues. What he said was perfectly true and from what you posted originally there was no way whatsoever to tell that you already knew the points he brought up.
There's only one thing worse than someone who complains about not getting enough help on a forum, and that's someone who complains at the people who actually do try to help them on a forum.

There is no need for name calling and insults. We dont tolerate them. Locutus made a valid point. -There was no way for us to know how thoroughly you checked your scripts, or how knowledgable you are. we arent mind readers -there are many complaints about some scripts mucking up settings -you dont need to read many threads before coming across the many times ppl insist their script isnt the problem, only to later post they found that it was indeed the cause.
You dont have to agree with everything posted, or even appreciate an FYI, but at least use common courtesy. There isnt any justification for your rude attack on Locutus for stating a simple fact.
